With the food processor's organic waste decomposer from Umtech, your food and kitchen waste is converted into water. The organic waste disposal is completely eliminated, and thus also the buckets and their intermediate storage and transport. As a result, CO2 emissions are avoided accordingly.
How does the Foodwaste2water concept work?
The organic waste is completely decomposed by enzymes (microorganisms). The remaining process water - comparable to the waste water from the dishwasher - is discharged into the sewage system.
Are the microorganisms harmful?
No, the enzymes are environmentally friendly, i.e. no pollutants are produced during the decomposition, only the gray water from the decomposition process and negligible amounts of menthane.
How long can the organisms be preserved?
The microorganisms have a limited (semi parente) lifespan.
The chips must therefore be "vaccinated" with enzymes every 12–18 months, and the chips containing the enzymes must be replaced every 3 years. The costs for this are extremely low and the decomposer does not require any other maintenance.
How is organic waste recycled?
The waste water is used and treated accordingly in the sewage treatment plant.
What are the advantages of the Foodwaste2water concept?
Organic waste is immediately and completely recycled at the point of origin - i.e. without (cooled) interim storage and without any residues.
Emptying and transport of organic waste bins (CO2 reduction) and their handling are completely eliminated.
The kitchen staff is relieved of any organic waste treatment and has free capacity for other things.
The hygiene in the companies is increased and the health of the staff is preserved
